Rarely has our community needed positive recognition as now. We live in a remarkable community with big hearts and great examples of giving back. Let’s recognize those people and organizations for their amazing work. It is what goes—too often—unseen, yet can inspire us all.

Nominations are now open for our 2020 recognition awards (in conjunction with Daily Hampshire Gazette). This year includes a new award in honor of 2019’s Person of the Year award winner Frances Crowe.

  • Person of the Year: Honors a resident of Hampshire County for going above and beyond in making the Valley a better place. A $500 prizes will be awarded, half to be donated to a charity of their choice.

  • Young Community Leader: Recognizes a person between the ages of 15 and 30 who lives in Hampshire County and has contributed through community involvement and volunteerism, to making our county a better place for all. A $250 prize will be awarded, half to be donated to a charity of their choice.

  • Frances Crowe Centenarian Award: This award will recognize a person(s) or organization that represents the essence of Hampshire County with a documented history of brining others to action for a cause. This inaugural honor will recognize exemplary work leading social and environmental causes and inspires the next generation of change makers. A $500 prize will be awarded to their cause.
